Arvid Gerstmann is an entrepreneur, software engineer, manager, and occasional speaker. He is currently looking for interesting new challenges as the Founder of RagnarLab, his digital consulting firm. Arvid has previous experience as Head of Software Engineering at ZEISS and Doxy.me, Inc., and served as Appico's CTO.

Arvid holds a degree in electrical engineering and is a self-taught programmer. He is interested in writing video games, compilers, and other low-level systems and is most fluent in Rust, C, and C++. However, he has professional experience in various technologies (incl. AWS, JS, TypeScript, Node.js, and Azure). Arvid loves solving complex problems and likes to mentor other engineers.

Arvid loves good espresso and is an avid reader. He usually travels nature with his Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo camper van, preparing for the upcoming hike or climbing the next big mountain with his girlfriend and adorable Spanish water dog, Charlie. He currently lives in Stuttgart, Germany.
